With over 35 years' service at Slicker, Dennis is our longest serving colleague. There is nothing that Dennis doesn’t know about our plant and a great deal of the knowledge and expertise that went in to developing our plant is owed to Dennis. Dennis is a dedicated worker, a dedicated family man and a dedicated follower of football. Well, Stoke City!

Lab Chemist

Having joined us as a temporary colleague Aimee, a recent graduate from The University of Birmingham, is now completing her training in the laboratory to get signed off as a permanent chemist where she will play a key role in analysing the quality of the waste oil being collected from our customers, as well as the quality of the processed fuel oil which we produce for onward sale.

Aimee has enjoyed meeting the team at the induction and is now looking forward to the Slicker Christmas party!

Will has started his first full-time role with Slicker as Finance Assistant and is flying through his AAT qualifications to support his career in finance.

Trainee Account Manager

In a short amount of time, Olivia has shown off her talents for customer service and has progressed from a part-time Receptionist to a full-time Trainee Account Manager.

We also discovered that Olivia has other hidden talents as she successfully won the Rowing Cup Challenge with 3 of her Slicker colleagues in a local charity competition.

  • To work in a manner that will bring credit to Slicker Recycling by displaying qualities expected of a Slicker Recycling employee; punctuality, being tidy in appearance, being well mannered, polite, and courteous to a client’s representatives and other Group employees at all times.
  • Ensure all work carried out on site is in line with the company legal / licence requirement and all paperwork and site visit documentation is completed, signed off and recorded accurately and in a fully compliant way.
  • Normal working start time is 6am, working through to completion of works; although, occasionally, earlier starts may be required and/or later finishes depending on individual job/client requirements.
  • Overnight patterns will be required (on a rota basis) to accommodate customer requirements.
  • Typically field based, requiring working away from home/base locations for the majority of time and sleeping in a two-man cab. Job will require, once trained/competent, being a part of the on-call rotation covering weekends; weekend working may be available from time to time to cover additional client requirements / backlog of works.

  1. Assisting with operational and finance administration of the Slicker Interceptor division, including:
  • Completing contract review analysis and keeping contract timeline up to date- communicating the information to all key stakeholders.
