Slicker Recycling has secured a 12-month contract with Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, for the collection of hazardous waste at its airports nationwide, from Southampton to Inverness.
Following collection, the hazardous waste, including used oil filters, spent aerosols and waste aircraft fuel, will be recycled in a compliant and environmentally friendly manner.

As the airline’s new waste management partner, Slicker Recycling expects to collect many tonnes of hazardous workshop waste over the year-long contract. The waste oil will be converted to PFO, an environmentally friendly alternative to virgin fuel oils, at Slicker’s Midlands-based refinery.
